My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom...but with a demonstartion of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God. 1 Cor. 2:4-5

If I had more time and was more creative I would probably update from time to time....I don't really have anything to say, maybe when I get more time to chill out I'll come up with a rant, I guess for now I'll just say I've accepted a big ministry assignment for me that I will begin next August, I'm excited about it but sad I will be leaving my friends again....

Looking at my last post I sure am an idiot, I gave the Steelers the reverse jinx, they found my entry and said "this dumb kid thinks we can't beat the colts, lets show him and win everygame throughout the rest of the year!"  So I resign from making any more football guesses....

So tonight I'm back in Maine, thus why i'm actually making a post.  In typical Maine fashion I get home and the electricity is out, the house got freaking cold and I had to man up and build a woodstove, aw the joy of releasing the caveman within.

The caveman doesn't come out very often.  The caveman did not have to live in a 5X5 cubicle day in and day otu and be strapped to a phone.  Speaking of work (and that folks is a transition) its getting fairly interesting these days, ok maybe not.  I'm now quite the 401K expert, go ahead, ask me anything and I can give you my corporate answer, I'm that awesome...I got a complimentary call the other day, basically it means someone I dealt with called back and spoke to a manager to tell them I'm good at what I do.  I guess the compliment would have meant more if the old lady who made the call hadn't asked if I was handsome and single and then proceed to tell the manager she was single, and yes I did remember her, she was like 60 and had an emphazema wheeze/cough thing going on, my kinda lady other than the fact I saw how much she was worth and she wasn't rich enough to be my sugarmommy so had to let her down gently.  I also managed to have two ladies cry on me this week when I gave them good news that we were sending out checks so they can keep their home, and then I got called some sort of bad name 28978908 times for telling people they were too dumb to follow directions to get their check, thus the world of defending corporate red tape.

I've basically decided next year I want to go to Europe.  I'm going to make it happen.  Being as financially savvy as I know am I have a plan in place to get me there by next spring as long as I don't have my car break down, i stay employed, i cut my housing expenses in half and I win the mega millions.

Pitchers and Catchers report today, I will not proceed to make any predictions but I am excited for my favorite team and some of the moves they have made this offseason....

Alright its late and I don't feel like writing anything else so read someone elses page...

So the Broncos have just scored another touchdown to make their lead become 24-6....the Patriots who looked like the juggernaut of old are looking like their threepeat is not going to happen, 3 for 4 is still a dynasty, too bad it couldn't be 4 for 5. If they were going to get beat I wish it wasn't going down in a game that looked like this. Tonights game has been U-G-L-Y....the Patriots have made lots of messy turnovers, they certainly had their intensity tonight, but tonight it just wasn't clean on their end and they made bad mistakes. Speaking of their intensity Big ups to Ben Watson for his hit on Champ Bailey after the Brady INT, also to Willie McGinist and Richard Seymour for not giving up when things got ugly...Not to take credit away from the Broncos who played like they belonged in the same category as the defending champs, but the officiating made a terrible call that turned the tide against the Pats, when the Defensive Pass interference was called the game was being ruled by the champs, at that point the zebras gave the broncos the ball on the 1 and from there it was an easy TD for Mike Anderson, that made it 7-3 and completely turned the momentum on the Patriots...

Tonight the Broncos did everything right to beat the Patriots, they took advantage of every turnover opportunity without giving the ball back, Unlike most teams that take a lead they remained aggresive even with a big lead in order to prevent the opposition from getting back into the game. They went after the known weaknesses of the Patriots that other teams seemed unable to do, the kept to their running game, and were aggressive against a weak secondary.....Unfortunately the Patriots lost to the second best team in the AFC, if things ended like a storybook the Patriots would be beaten by the best team in the AFC and that team would go on and win the Superbowl showing the NFL they earned that prize from the defending Champs. I don't see the Broncos standing up to the Colts next week. Tom Brady and the Patriots put up over 330 yards passing without much of a running game, you think a Colts team with a better running game and faster recievers will have any less success? The Broncos caught the Patriots on a night where they gave up 5 turnovers....interesting stat during the 10 game win streak the Pats only gave up 6 TO's....I give the Broncos two legit forced turnovers while the others were flukes, the first was the Faulk fumble, great hit that knocked that loose, the second was the first Brady INT, they blitzed perfectly and forced Brady to make a play that he didn't have.

Right now I'm watching a very emotional Bill Belicheck in a post game interview, here is a man who is not used to losing, does not like to lose, but looks very hurt and tired and drained for the hard hours and work that he put into this team and not seeing them stand alone.

But I will not write the Patriots off tonight like most of the media will do in the following weeks and into next year, and here's why....First off the core guys won't allow the team to slip to mediocrity, Willie McGinist (who has already felt the sting of a superbowl loss back in '96) is a veteran who knows the team can come back the next year, plus showed no giving up tonight Richard Seymour is still in the prime of his career and fights to win and win alone, Tedy Bruschi will be back and healthy for a whole year and will never play the game just to play it, Tom Brady is ripped and when he's ripped he delivers, and he is just gonna be 29 for next years season, still prime age for a veteran QB coming off a career numbers year and will be having his first off-season not winning the final game of the year (in 2002 when the Pats didn't make the playoffs they beat their last opponent in a playoff atmosphere game)
They will also have time to get healthy again, guys like Tedy Bruschi, Corey Dillon, Rodney Harrison, Daniel Graham, Kevin Faulk, Patrick Pass, the offensive line can get back to full strength.
Scott Pioli and Bill Belicheck will not sit around during the offseason and not make some moves. They draft well, they recruit well, and they might even get Ty Law back.
What could happen to make this team fall apart? Well as long as Belicheck doesn't walk away and Brady doesn't get hurt, or Richard Seymour leaves the team they should be back and be tough to beat. Their division won't be easy next year as Miami is improving under Nick Saban's leadership.

Since 2001 I've held to my Seabisquit theory with the Patriots. Week after week this team played tight, intense games where they often didn't put the game away until the very end. I'm not going to say the intensity dies, but the body gets so worn down that the pull away is just not there when you need it, and thats what I believe happened this year, but the horse isn't dead, its gonna get the dirt washed off, new shoes put on, and its gonna get back into the gate for a new race....too bad I have to wait til next September to see the gate open....

Alright so I'm alive and well livin it up in Q-tropolis, work at Citistreet is work, not the most exciting stuff ever but it puts plenty of money in my account so I can have fun, I think I've been able to chill with diffrent people all but one day since I've been back after the new years break, and that one day I chose to chill bymyself, such a change of pace from Maine....

Right now I'm watching the Patriots-Broncos game, Patriots aren't looking very sharp on offense, defense is looking like its getting pushed around too....its only the beginning of the 2nd quarter, I don't want to see the 10 game playoff streak end tonight!

I got to go to the Bruins game today, it was a lot of fun, the Bruins led til late in the 3rd period and then Dallas got a goal that tied it up, then after a scoreless overtime there was a shootout, Bruins lost but it was certainly such an exciting time....It was the first hockey game I had seen in a long time and I love the new NHL rules...Last night chillin with EJ I got an impulse to buy a hockey game for the x-box, one of the sports games I don't own, the game is alright but I was excited to find Roper has 2 songs on the game soundtrack....Yeah thats Reese Roper from Five Iron Frenzy a favorite band of mine, and I've gotten to chill with Reese before so I was proud of him....

So I have like nothing else I really feel like talking, maybe if I wasn't so tired right now I'd make up something cool....

I know I haven't put a real post up on the site in sometime.  I am all adjusted after making the move to Quincy, though I am missing the internet access in my house, I guess the library will have to do for now...

Currently I'm in New York for the Christmas weekend, probably one of my favorite Christmas traditions is the Christmas eve service at my aunt's church that will be going on from 10:30-midnight tonight, I'm really looking forward to it...

Just a few thoughts:

Glad to see the Colts have now lost 2 games, sad about Dungy's kid though...The Johnny Damon signing with the Yankees completely stinks, I can only hope he tanks in NY and will finally appreciate the fact he throws like a girl....It really wasn't cool that my company gave me a new plan on Friday that is for a company I won't name on here that is going through bankrupcy and part of the company is on strike, aka even more angry broke people....of course i'm not sure whats worse, angry broke people or snotty rich intellectual people....Ikea is like the best place to have to shop for home furnishings when you are a broke college grad!...one reason why I can't wait for Christmas to be over is so that I don't have to hear the right wing scream about this stupid Happy Holiday vs Merry Christmas war for another 11 months...and to everyone out there Happy Holidays! and to those who celebrate Jesus' B'day... Merry Christmas!
